Standout before tonight's School Committee Meeting

Pasting from Liz Speakman’s facebook page. Since Facebook has changed it’s policy and requires people to sign up for their service to view public postings, I am reposting here. This is important as provisions of the open meeting law are being invoked to prevent public attendance. It will be on QATV but if you have the opportunity to show up, please do.

CALL TO ACTION:

The Quincy School Committee is meeting Wed, Dec 1 at 6 pm to discuss the requests made by students and families following the Quincy High School walk out protesting racism a few weeks ago.

The meeting is NOT open to the public but we can SHOW UP and make sure they know we stand with the students and will not let this go without action. JOIN US at 5:30 tomorrow, Wed, 12/1 at the Coddington Building in a show of solidarity with the brave students who walked out and shared their stories. Parents, Educators and Students will be there to make sure School Committee members understand the urgency of acting on the recommendations made weeks ago.

We are not allowed to be in the meeting but we can make our voices heard!
